The three ladies we are remembering this month: Lillian Adelman, Millie Felstein and Pat Hoffman. Lillian was a member of United Hebrew Congregation and taught school for many years with Vigo County Schools. Millie graduated from Wiley High School, was a member of United Hebrew Congregation and was co-founder of Clothes Closet. Pat was active in many activities at the Temple.
This month, we remember Carolyn Gurman, Rona Schultz and Pearl Stern.
Rona was born in Chicago, met Robert on a blind date and moved to Terre Haute in 1942. She loved golf, a passion she shared with Robert. She also enjoyed playing bridge and solitaire and was interested in the arts and antiques.
The three ladies of the month, as always, are remembered fondly.
Lieba Yonks… We always remember Lieba as very friendly and with a great smile. Lieba was a nurse, an active member of United Hebrew and was vice-president on the Board, active in Sisterhood. She and her husband owned House of Interiors Furniture Store, where the Goodwill Building now stands.
The three ladies of the month, as always are remembered fondly.
Mirian Benjaminov Srulovitch… Mirian was a quiet lady with sweet smile who enjoyed her passion for teaching shool. She graduated from Hebrew University of Jerusalem and taught in Toledo, Ohio, and Marblehead, Mass.
