Passover seder for Saturday, April 8, 2023 @ United Hebrew Congregation

Student Rabbi Rocki Schy will conduct a congregational Passover seder at 6 p.m. Saturday, April 8, 2023, at Temple Israel for United Hebrew Congregation.

Please bring non-dairy Passover side dishes to share, such as vegetables or fruit. The Temple will provide entree and traditional dishes (along with gluten-free matzoh).

Cost is $10 for adults and $5 for children and university students. Please RSVP to Norma by Monday, April 3 at 812-232-5988.

Passover begins at sundown Wednesday, April 5, and concludes at sundown Thursday, April 13.

Yom HaShoah program for Sunday, April 16, 2023 @ United Hebrew Congregation

United Hebrew Congregation will play host to a Yom HaShoah event from 2-3:45 p.m. Sunday, April 16, 2023, in the sanctuary at Temple Israel.

Please join us for a series of presentations from diverse ethnicities and perspectives on various aspects of the Holocaust.

Topics will range from “Resistance” to “Present and Future Implications,” with the overall theme of “Never Again” as a central focus.

The Bloomington Stake of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints will host an after-event social in the Vestry Room.

Yom HaShoah, or Holocaust Memorial Day, runs from sundown Monday, April 17, to sundown Tuesday, April 18.

‘Israel at 75’ JCLP event for Wednesday, April 19, 2023 @ Zoom

The Jewish Community Legacy Project will present a virtual program entitled, “Israel at 75: Where Are We Going?” at 8 p.m. EDT Wednesday, April 19, 2023.

Representatives from small congregations in Indiana, Illinois, Michigan and Wisconsin will participate in JCLP.
