DESCRIPTION:Student Rabbi Caitlin Brazner will conduct a virtual Torah study at 10 a.m. Saturday\, April 24\, 2021\, for United Hebrew Congregation. \nCaitlin says\, “Our last few gatherings have focused mainly on rabbinic texts related to our Jewish holidays. What a busy spring we’ve had! \n“This week\, we return to Parashat Hashavua\, with an examination of this week’s double parashat\, Acharei Mot/Kedoshim. \n“Covering Leviticus 16:1-20:27\, Acharei Mot/Kedoshim includes sections of the ‘Holiness Codes\,’ a part of our Torah concerned with how we as Jews maintain our pure\, particular and ‘holy’ status. \n“We will examine these commands\, challenging in directness and intensity\, and discuss their relevance (or lack thereof) for us today as 21st century Reform Jews.
