Yom HaShoah observance for Sunday, April 23, 2017

United Hebrew Congregation will remember victims of the Holocaust and honor the heroes who saved victims of genocides during an interfaith Yom HaShoah observance beginning at 7:30 p.m. Sunday, April 23, in the sanctuary at Temple Israel.

The program will feature soprano Tania Arazi Coambs, a 2015 recipient of the American Prize Chicago Music Theater Award. Coambs made her debut in April at Chicago Symphony Orchestra Hall.

The evening will also include a candle-lighting ceremony in memory of the victims of the Holocaust and a moment of reflection to honor those who chose to help.

The event is free and open to the community.
