Hanukkah and 175th anniversary celebration for Sunday, December 15, 2024

UHC will mark its 175th anniversary and celebrate Hanukkah as CANDLES Holocaust Museum and Education Center and Terre Haute Mayor Brandon Sakbun participate in a ceremony set for 1:15 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 15, 2024, at the Temple.
The mayor will begin events by delivering a proclamation recognizing the congregation’s 175 years in Terre Haute.
UHC president Scott Skillman will discuss the Temple’s history and Dr. Alex Kor and Rabbi Benjamin Sendrow of Congregation Shaarey Tefilla in Carmel will speak about Hanukkah traditions.
Refreshments will include brisket, kugel, latkes and more!
Hanukkah runs from the evening of Wednesday, Dec. 25 through Thursday, Jan. 2, 2025.
