Annual Walter Sommers Lecture on Holocaust History for Sunday, November 9, 2025

Mark Wygoda will present the story of his father’s courage and resistance during the Holocaust as guest speaker for the annual Walter Sommers Lecture on Holocaust History, 1 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 9, 2025, at CANDLES Holocaust Museum & Education Center.

Mark describes Hermann Wygoda’s autobiography, In the Shadow of the Swastika, as “my father’s journey from Warsaw Ghetto smuggler to Italian partisan commander.”
