Bridge Project ceremony for Sunday, September 26, 2021

September 26, 2021 @ 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm

Faith-based groups will gather at 1 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 26, 2021, at historic Allen Chapel African Methodist Episcopal Church, 601 S. 3rd St. in Terre Haute, to remember Ida Finkelstein and George Ward as twin victims of injustice.

UHC board member Scott Skillman and former UHC Student Rabbi Remi Liverman will speak.
The Bridge Project to reaffirm the alliance between Christians and Jews grows from the work of the late Terry Fear.

Co-sponsors include Greater Terre Haute NAACP #3068, Allen Chapel and the AME Church, Inter-Faith Council of the Wabash Valley, United Hebrew Congregation, Sisters of Providence of Saint Mary-of-the-Woods and the Ward Family.

The George Ward Historical Marker Dedication will follow at 3 p.m. on the north side of Fairbanks Park, 1100 Girl Scout Lane.
