Torah Study for Saturday, February 6, 2021

Student Rabbi Caitlin Brazner will lead a virtual Torah study for United Hebrew Congregation from 10-11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 6, 2021.

This week’s Torah portion is Parashat Yitro (Exodus 18:1-20:23).

Caitlin writes: “In this week’s parasha, the Israelites stand at Sinai and receive the Ten Commandments. We will study this moment of Revelation through the eyes of various scholars and theologians, from medieval commentators to scholars of modern Jewish thought.

“In the course of our study, we will consider how Revelation has been understood throughout different places and times, and by different streams of Judaism.”
