United Hebrew Congregation Sisterhood will hold its first meeting after the summer break with a brown bag luncheon at noon Sept. 17, 2017, in the Vestry Room at Temple Israel. Sisterhood meets on the second Tuesday of each month.

Student Rabbi Kylynn Perdue-Bronson will officiate a Rosh Hashanah Tashlich service at 3 p.m. Thursday, September 21, 2017, on the fishing pier at Fairbanks Park, 1110 Girlscout lane (First and Oak streets) in Terre Haute. Congregants will throw bread in the water to symbolically cast off their sins.

United Hebrew Congregation Terre Haute will host Shabbat Shuvah services at 7:30 p.m. Friday, September 22, 2017, at Temple Israel. Kylynn Perdue-Bronson, UHC's student rabbi for the 2017-18 academic year, will officiate. An Oneg Shabbat will follow in the Vestry Room.

Student Rabbi Kylynn Perdue-Bronson will lead Torah study at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 23, in the Vestry Room at Temple Israel. Special topic for the High Holy Days will be Maimonides, The Eight Chapters of the Rambam.
