I don’t care where the beef is, but where are the cups? I went to get four cups from our beautiful set of antique dishes and out of a set of around 200, there is only one cup. In “Beauty and the Beast”, I know cups can walk and talk, but I’m sure our cups did not walk away alone. If anyone knows where the cups are, please share it with me!

Special guest speaker Jean Diemer described the work of children’s book author and illustrator Patricia Polacco for UHC Sisterhood members during their September 2016 meeting.
Guests enjoyed tea and cake served on china reminiscent of themes in the author’s books!
UHC remembers three ladies of the month
The three ladies of the month, as always, are remembered fondly.
Lieba Yonks… We always remember Lieba as very friendly and with a great smile. Lieba was a nurse, an active member of United Hebrew and was vice-president on the Board, active in Sisterhood. She and her husband owned House of Interiors Furniture Store, where the Goodwill Building now stands.
Good Cheer Club luncheon is a success
The Good Cheer Club luncheon was a success as always. We were fortunate to have music and singing by “Men Who Care”.
Sisterhood Meeting will be September 13th. It will be good to see everyone. We are having a special guest speaker and she is bringing a surprise for us.
