Family, friends and neighbors joined Walter and Louise Sommers on Dec. 27 to celebrate Walter’s 96th birthday with a party hosted by Sommers children Nancy and Ron at Westminster Village in Terre Haute.
Walter enjoyed champagne, carrot cake and coffee and shared his thoughts on life, his work at the Meis stores in Terre Haute and current events (See related story: Walter Sommers celebrates 96th, expounds on history, future).
