Walter Sommers, an honored and distinguished member of United Hebrew Congregation, will celebrate his 100th birthday on Dec. 29.
To mark that occasion, Mayor Duke A. Bennett of the City of Terre Haute has designated Dec. 29, 2020, as Walter Sommers Day.
