My dad, Alvin H. Farber, passed away early on a Monday morning, June 10, 2013. He was 91. My son Adam and I flew out to be with him during his last few days. My son Dan, who lives less than two hours away, also was with us, as were my brothers, Matthew and Bill.

UHC remembers three ladies of the month
The three ladies of the month, as always, are remembered fondly.
Lieba Yonks… We always remember Lieba as very friendly and with a great smile. Lieba was a nurse, an active member of United Hebrew and was vice-president on the Board, active in Sisterhood. She and her husband owned House of Interiors Furniture Store, where the Goodwill Building now stands.
Good Cheer Club luncheon is a success
The Good Cheer Club luncheon was a success as always. We were fortunate to have music and singing by “Men Who Care”.
Sisterhood Meeting will be September 13th. It will be good to see everyone. We are having a special guest speaker and she is bringing a surprise for us.

Mirian Benjaminov Srulovitch… Mirian was a quiet lady with sweet smile who enjoyed her passion for teaching shool. She graduated from Hebrew University of Jerusalem and taught in Toledo, Ohio, and Marblehead, Mass.
