For the second consecutive year, CANDLES Holocaust Museum & Education Center and United Hebrew Congregation will partner to remember victims of the Holocaust with a Yom HaShoah program, featuring guest speaker Agnes Schwartz.
The event is set for 2 p.m. Sunday, April 15, in the sanctuary at United Hebrew Congregation and is made possible through the generous sponsorship of the Florence and Laurence Spungen Family Foundation.
Theme of the program is “Remember the Past – Transform the Present”.
In moment of inspired beneficence, Herschel Chait has purchased custom pens for his United Hebrew Congregation family.
The navy blue pens display the congregation’s name and address in white lettering, feature silver trim and stylus tips and produce a dark blue line, appropriate for writing checks to the United Hebrew Congregation Restoration Fund.

But we also have exciting progress to report. Thanks to your contributions and a matching grant from Sacred Places Indiana, we are starting to collect estimates for the first phase of the project to restore our historic synagogue, originally known as Temple Israel.
