As part of its promotion for “Stained Glass Sunday Afternoon”, from 1-4 p.m. June 11, Terre Haute Landmarks has included Temple Israel in a limited series of special placemats to be distributed throughout June at local restaurants.
Temple Israel to welcome visitors for ‘Stained Glass Sunday Afternoon’ on June 11
Crowds will return to Temple Israel from 1-4 p.m. Sunday, June 11, when United Hebrew Congregation participates in the annual “Stained Glass Sunday Afternoon” tour sponsored by Indiana Landmarks and Terre Haute Landmarks.
Volunteers will be present at eight historic houses of worship to welcome visitors along the free, self-guided tour. Tour maps will be available at each site.
United Hebrew Congregation elects board and officers at annual meeting
United Hebrew Congregation held its annual meeting on Sunday, May 21, 2017. There, the congregation elected a board of trustees and officers of board.
Officers include President Betsy Frank, VP/Secretary Terry Fear and Treasurer Bruce Black. Six board members will serve as well.
