Rabbi Aaron, Westminster Village crowd revel in Veterans Day Shabbat
In Army fatigues and camouflage yarmulke, Student Rabbi Rabbi Aaron Rozovsky delivered Shabbat to a packed house of seniors and their guests on Veterans Day at Westminster Village.
Rabbi Aaron drew energy from the diverse audience, which included numerous veterans of the Army, Navy, Air Force and Coast Guard, leading them through prayers, hymns and service songs, including some tailored to the holiday. After one hymn, he thanked the crowd for its response: “I felt like an Israeli Dean Martin up here!”
Sisterhood meeting produces homemade Hanukkah cards
Arts-and-crafts enthusiast Jackie Silver spoke at the November United Hebrew Congregation Terre Haute Sisterhood meeting about scrapbooking and crafts, and led the group in producing their own homemade Hanukkah cards.

Temple celebrates Sukkot with outdoor service
Student Rabbi Aaron Rozovsky conducted a morning Sukkot service for Sunday school students, parents and United Hebrew Congregation Terre Haute members Oct. 23 at the Sukkah raised a week earlier in the yard just behind Temple Israel.
