Indiana State University Alumni Association to honor UHC’s Jo Einstandig

The Indiana State University Alumni Association has announced the recipients of the 2018 Distinguished Alumni Awards, the association’s most prestigious honor. Our very own Jo Einstandig is among four honorees who will be recognized during the event at 6:30 p.m. Friday, October 12, at the Sycamore Banquet Center.

Jo earned undergraduate (1961) and graduate degrees (1967) in elementary education from Indiana State. She was employed with the Vigo County School Corp. and also served as vice president of Jebb’s Inc. for 20 years and vice president of Jeiba Inc., a trucking company in Terre Haute.

Family is on the move as Sisterhood, congregation begin new year

It is hard to believe September is here and the children are back in school. The weather will be changing.

Where does time go? Everything changes in life. The time will be changing and our children change.

My son and his wife are moving to Texas and my brother is moving to Texas as well. I will miss them.

Even if we know that the moves are for the best, we still wish things could stay the same. But we adjust.

A line in a recent The Family Circus comic says, “I don’t know where time goes, either.”

Summer has flown by and the High Holy Days are already upon us. A highlight of the New Year is that we extend a very warm welcome to our new student rabbi, Jonathan Falco.

The High Holy Days represents a time of reflection for each one of us and for our congregation as well.
