As term ends, Student Rabbi Aaron Rozovsky expresses thanks to congregation

In our corpus we have texts such as Tanakh, Midrash, Talmud and Shulchan Aruch. Incredible minds like Rashi, Rarnbarn, Ibn Ezra and Nachmanides, beautiful and intricate languages such as Hebrew, Ladino and Yiddish, titanic moments like revelation at Sinai, the reigns of David and Solomon and the return from the exile.

However, despite this, I could not find a witty quote or a piece of insight from our sages that can properly convey my thoughts.

Congratulations to the new Temple board and best wishes to Rabbi Aaron

As I write this column, the Congregation has just finished an important rite of spring, the congregational annual meeting. Congratulations to all the board and I hope that UHC members will feel free to contact any of us with your ideas and concerns.

Sadly, we also say goodbye to our student rabbi, Aaron Rozovsky. We wish him well as he finishes up his fifth year of studies.

Anniversary party was a welcome surprise; Sisterhood sets carry-in luncheon, elections

I was planning a quiet dinner at home with Ralph for our 50th anniversary, as he is not able to get out. My daughter Carrie had other ideas. With the help of my neighbor Jean and Norma, we had a great Hawaiian luau party. (Since we couldn’t get to Hawaii, they brought the party to us.)

Sisterhood will hold our yearly May carry-in luncheon at noon Tuesday, May 9. We get to taste everyone’s cooking. We would love to have you join us.
