Syndicated humor columnist Dick Wolfsie will speak on Jewish humor at 10:30 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 24, 2021, at First Unitarian Universalist Church in Terre Haute.
Wolfsie will employ classic Jewish jokes to illustrate the Jewish people’s historical relationship with God.
His column appears in about 30 newspapers in Indiana and around the country and he appeared for 30 years on WISH-TV in Indianapolis.

Farrington’s Grove Historical District will hold its Spring Beautification Project at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 23, 2022, at 1304 S. 6th St., a half-mile south of the Temple.
Teams and individuals will clean up the neighborhood for 60-90 minutes. Lunch will follow. FGHD will provide t-shirts, refreshments, trash bags, gloves and sanitizer packets.

CANDLES Holocaust Museum and Education Center will present An Evening of Light at 6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 22, 2022, to recognize individuals for their dedication to sharing Holocaust education in their Indiana communities.
Speakers will be Stephen D. Smith, Ph.D., and Michael Berenbaum.
One Indiana educator will receive the Terry Fear Holocaust Educator in Action Award, named for the late former United Hebrew Congregation board member and social activist.

Hamilton Center invites UHCTH members to participate in the 1.5-mile Diversity Walk 2023, with registration set for 9 a.m. Saturday, August 26, in the First Financial Bank parking lot at the corner of 6th and Ohio streets in downtown Terre Haute.
The ninth annual event welcomes people of all ages, races, creeds, colors, orientations and abilities, seeking to unify the community and spread messages of respect and acceptance.

Dr. Lauren Bairnsfather, executive director of the Holocaust Center of
Pittsburgh from 2015-2023, will deliver a virtual “Tree of Life Reflection” at 8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 26, 2023, for CANDLES Holocaust Museum and Education Center.
The lecture and discussion commemorates the five-year anniversary of the attack on Tree of Life Synagogue in Pittsburgh on Oct. 27, 2018.
